ADAPT is the main drug and alcohol triage service in Fife. It provides assessment of need and referral to specialist drug and alcohol services within the NHS and Third Sector as well as providing information, education and early interventions that help prevent problems. The service offers counselling and referral to specialist services that support recovery from substance-related problems for individuals and families.
Barnardo's Empowering Change Service supports children and families within Fife to become more confident and able to cope with life events where substance misuse has impacted on the family.
Support is offered to families with children aged 0-18 and can consist of individual support to parents and children and also family support.
Referrals are accepted via Fife Social Work Service, Addiction Services, Education, self-referrals and other third party organisations.
Clued Up provides a comprehensive “youth friendly” substance use support and information service to young people under 25 across Fife, also targeting the wider issues of general well-being and lifestyle.
The project provides education, prevention, early intervention and diversion for young people affected by their own or someone else’s drug/alcohol/substance use.
DAPL offers one to one counselling, support, and advice to people and their families who are affected by substance use issues and/or emotional distress.
Fife Intensive Rehabilitation & Substance Use Team (FIRST) provides a community based rehabilitation service to individuals aged 16 and over in Fife with drug or alcohol issues via one to one, group and volunteer support. Our overarching aim and purpose is to provide a quality rehabilitation service to clients who wish to change their lifestyle
The Recovery Link service is offered to those with drug and/or alcohol addictions who wish to either begin the road to recovery or who need help to sustain their recovery programme. Through practical support and assistance we help those we support to manage their addiction, achieve their ultimate goals and live independently.
The service offers flexible, on-going support which encourages adoption of a healthy lifestyle and improvement of physical and psychological health and is provided in partnership with Fife Intensive Rehabilitation & Substance Misuse Team (FIRST). They can also provide housing support and advice, court representation, temporary accommodation, housing management, Prevention First (enhanced housing options), employability and social enterprises.
